Welcome and thank you for visiting the “Metrolina Trauma Advisory Committee” (MTAC) website. The MTAC is one of eight Regional Advisory Councils (RAC’s) originally established for the purpose of regional trauma system development (1998).  Utilizing this regional approach, North Carolina more recently directed statewide disaster preparedness in similar fashion. Present day, each of North Carolinas RAC’s assume regional responsibility in developments of both trauma and disaster preparedness.

 Within the Metrolina region these efforts could not be successful without the shared vision and collegiality of its twenty one hospital and nine EMS systems membership (MTAC Region - See membership)
