METROLINA TRAUMA ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Welcome to the Metrolina Trauma Advisory Committee (MTAC) website. The MTAC signifies the leadership of the Metrolina's Regional Trauma Advisory Council (Metrolina RAC), one of eight North Carolina RAC's instituted for purposes of regional trauma system development and disaster preparedness readiness and response.
A leader in both trauma care and emergency preparedness, the MTAC regions efforts have improved access to, and provisions of trauma care, and strengthened disaster preparedness & readiness for all of its regions citizen's and visitors. The MTAC represents a 13 county region comprising twenty one hospitals and ten EMS agencies. It receives its administrative leadership through Carolinas Medical Center, flagship hospital of Carolinas Healthcare System and the regions only Level I Trauma Center located in Charlotte NC. The MTAC is committed to working with regional health care providers, facilities and agencies in efforts of constructing a regional and coordinated process for the delivery of consistent, quality trauma care and enhancement of its regional abilities to respond to, and recover from a disaster. These objectives could not be achieved without the shared vision and collaboration with all regional partners and providers.
