Welcome and thank you for visiting the “Metrolina Trauma Advisory Committee’s” (MTAC) website. The MTAC is one of eight North Carolina “Regional Advisory Councils” (RAC’s) developed for purposes of regional trauma system development and regional disaster preparedness and response.

The MTAC receives its administrative leadership through Carolinas Medical Center, located in Charlotte, NC and flagship hospital of CarolinasHealthcare System.

Objectives of the MTAC could not be achieved without the shared vision and collaborative efforts of its multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary regional membership. (MTAC Region – See map)

3/22/2010 was Jeff Peterson's first day as the MTAC Assistant Regional Emergency Response & Recovery Coordinator. Please when you have an opportunity, welcome Jeff to our region!

MTAC Trauma Transfer Criteria

MTAC Trauma Stabalization & Transfer Criteria posters have recently been developed and are available to all regional facilities.

The poster is intended to assist non trauma centers in the identification, treatment and triage of the most severely injured patients.

Poster can also be accessed in PDF form under the websites Trauma tab.

Warehouse Workdays

Warehouse workdays can be found on the calendar and events section of the webpage. Workdays are an opportunity for any member or discipline of our region to spend available time assisting MTAC Disaster staff in and around the warehouse. Special thanks to those who have already participated in previous workdays!
